Petite fashion challenge #17: candy colorized

This month's petite fashion challenge is hosted by one of my favorite bloggers: Sew Petite Gal

Challenge: Candy Colorized
Take a bowl full of colorful candies (M&Ms, Jolly Ranchers, jelly beans, etc.), close your eyes, and draw 2-3 pieces.  Now use those colors (+ a neutral of your choosing) to form the basis for your ensemble. **Extra brownie points if you post more than 1 colorful ensemble or if you add a DIY element (because I love DIYs so much!) :D**

The first outfit: I started off with something fun and youthful. I paired the vibrant yellow top with green short and pink blazer. This will be my outfit for going out for lunch or shopping with my friends. The second outfit: I stayed on the safe side with pale blue skirt and red top. This will be appropriate for going to work

Thank you for reading and leaving comments.

Mossimo dress

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a fantastic day! I feel so grateful to receive many sweet comments from you. You truly make my day. Thank you so much! :X

I found this Mossimo dress on the sale rack at Target and immediately fell in love with it. I can say many good things about the dress. It fits well, the neck detail is adorable, and the fabric is soft. Also, I like the fact that I can tie the sash either in front or the back. And best of all, it was priced at $18. Today, I wore it to go for lunch with my friends.

Thank you so so much for reading and leaving comments!

Tina

Remix: Peter pan collar shirt

Hello everyone! Happy Monday!

I don't shop quite often and what I buy are usually sale items. I try to work with what I already have in my closet and pair them in a new way. I think it is more interesting and challenging to remix and match the clothes to create new outfits than just to buy all new items in the store. Today I revisited and paired my favorite peter pan collar shirt and forever 21 skirt together.

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement. I'm happy to read each and every comment of yours! Have a great week ahead!

Floral romper

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great day. I bought this Forever 21 romper a year ago. The first time I saw it in store, I was very excited because it is very cute and interesting, and perfect for summer. However, after wearing it couple times, I realized it is not daily wearable. It's definitely a pain if you are tempted for tasty drinks and need to use the bathroom while wearing it. I am still thinking if I should buy one more romper for this summer.

Capri jeans

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a great Saturday.

I like wearing jeans but it's not easy for me to find ones that fit me well because of my fairly wide thighs and short legs. Couple days ago, I stopped by a mall and found the capri jeans on sale. Luckily, they fitted me so well and I can wear them as skinny jeans. Do you have any recommendations for me to find good jeans?

Double dots

Hello everyone,

I'm always a big fan of polka dot. My mom sometimes even complains that I am not young enough to wear polka dots everyday. But you know when you really love something, you can't never get enough of it. Today, I revisited and paired two cute polka dot items that I really love together: a big polka dot shirt and a little polka dot skirt.

Pink/green

Hello readers! How's your day? Color blocking is one of my favorite trends and I'm dying to try it. Because I used to be a "matchy-matchy" girl, color blocking is really an exciting challenge for me.

I love the combination of pink and green because they are complimentary colors and can balance each other out.

Thank you for reading! I hope you will have a great week ahead!

Mixed prints

Happy Saturday! I hope you are having a wonderful day so far. I love the idea of mixing prints,  a hot trend of this season because it is fun, unexpected, and wearable. As being said, I decided to take risk and mix two prints and hope that it works well.

Thank you for reading! Have a great weekend!

Lace, peter pan and bow

A bit whimsical!! A bit fun!!!

To be honest, I was not adventurous in fashion and was always scared of being look tacky or bizarre. My closets used to fill with jeans, T-shirts and some simple black dresses. Last year, inspired by my friends and many fashion bloggers,  I made my own fashion resolutions, which were to brighten up my closet and experience more styles.

I found lace material very interesting. It gives me the feeling of elegance, sexiness, boldness, edginess or whimsy like this dress. When I saw the dress, I was so excited and immediately thought it would be an experiment for me. I decided to pair it with a big satin bow belt, a bow headband and bow shoes to create a fun and whimsical look. Hope you like it! :X:X:X

Have a great day!  xoxo Tina

Sunny Sunday!

Happy Sunday! I hope you have a great weekend! I got up early and bright and happily picked my new sunshine yellow dress to go out with my friend.

I bought this dress when it was on sale at Asos couple weeks ago. I love the vibrant color and lace material but it's a bit big for me. I replaced its original belt with a better fitted one.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great week ahead!

Hey there, Blue!

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday! I bought this ruffle Kensie dress a year ago but haven't worn it much. This is because it is quite long and I am too lazy to hem it by myself. Couple days ago, I stopped by BR and found this tiered skirt and thought it might work with the "abandoned dress". And here is my combination.

And I must admit I haven't been able to get enough of blue color yet. So, please bear with me. I am trying to brighten up my closet now.
